Spring?

It's been a while since I posted on here. I usually am on Facebook more than here, so all the events and pics get posted there rather than here. The weather has been unseasonably warm for a while now. Mid-50s in March isn't normal for the High Rockies, but we're loving it.

We've had some ski lessons, and M, K, & A got the season passes since we all completed the 3-lesson program that Ski Cooper offers. The week after we got those, we all got the flu bug, so no skiing (3/17).  And today (3/24) it's so nice again, the girls wanted to stay home and ride their bikes and play outside instead of going skiing/boarding. They are definitely warm-weather junkies!  :)

Getting caught up:
Ashlyn's school had a Read-a-Thon, and if they read over 420 minutes they got a $5 voucher to the Book Fair. She read 440 minutes, and chose another Magic Tree House book, "Leprechauns in Late Winter" book #43. She also had a fractions test, and aced it. She's such a smart girl! Then, for their St. Patrick's Day class party, Sierra and I made rainbow cupcakes. Matt was off that day (Fridays), and I was sick with Sierra, so he dropped them off. Bummed that I missed the party. She likes to be in control of things (hmmm....wonder where she got that from....), and we are constantly reminding her to be nicer to her sister. She is overall a really good kid.  She also got her own snowboard with bindings and boots, too.
Ashlyn jumping with her new snowboard setup!

Sierra is ....well, Sierra. She's saying more hilarious things every day. We have videos of her that I need to post on here to share. She keeps telling me that she wants to go to preschool, and swimming, and now soccer, too. She is learning to count higher than 11....twelve was always a hard one for her to grasp for the longest time, then 15. I think we're around 23 now. She doesn't like to color or craft too much, unlike Ashlyn. She'd rather have some kind of electronic device in front of her at ALL times...be it the TV, Kindle, Smartphone, Nintendo DS, or anything else of that nature. (She even asks "Where is the TV?" every time she goes into the new camper....oy.... LOL) She still doesn't like to sleep "alone" in her bed, even though Ashlyn is in the same room only a few feet away from her. She usually sleeps on mom & dad's floor, and then finds her way into the bed sometime in the night. She's still very loving and caring and thoughtful.

Matt is still working hard up at the mine (Climax Molybdenum). He has all his techs there now, so they're able to work four 10-hour shifts and have 3 day weekends, which has been nice. We just bought a 1996 Dutchmen popup camper. It's huge, that's all I can say. It has a trunk in the front, a king bed, a double bed, 3-burner stove, fridge, heater, A/C, dinette, a portable potty, and cabinets. It had been sitting for a while and needs a little bit of work, which Matt is currently working on so we're ready for camping in a couple of weeks. We're all quite excited!
