My work is going well. I love getting out of the house a few days (more like most days!) a week. And I'm getting more hours each week, so the next couple of weeks I really won't be on here much...I'll be doing housework and sleeping/relaxing on my off days!
Matt's work is going good as well. Some nights are slow so they send him home early, but then some nights, like this past Friday and Saturday, are really good nights and he makes good money with his tips. Friday he worked 2.5 hours and brought home 45$ in tips; Saturday he brought home 90$ in tips...so it's going pretty good. :)
Last Friday (June 12th) we laid some sod in the backyard--just a little patch for now to see how it does. It was really dark green when we put it in (grammy said it looked fake in the pics), and then it got a little dried out, but now it's pretty much all green (medium to dark) again. So nice!
It hasn't been too hot here for the month of June, which is unusual. We tied the record for the most days in June under 100...that last record was in 1901! But now it's starting to get into the low 100's like it's supposed to be for this time of year.
Sierra is starting to talk a lot more the past two weeks, which is fun! I need to get out the camera and get her on video talking and jumping and everything. She says "pat ta tay" (patty-cake), dsay (daisy), tss it (toss it), dadi, mami, mmmaaaap (dora's map), dssss (grass or brush), as of today she said p0pooo (poo poo) and points to her bum, emmmo (elmo...her FAVORITE!), haat (hat), datss (ducks or carts--like at walmart/lowe's, etc.), tsister (sister), hottt (hot), ohhp (up), juss (juice), owwwwee (ow-y as in booboo), eye, hi, eeeeaah (ear), and she also likes to pinch your nose and go "honk" lol! I'm sure there's more that she's doing and saying as of late, but my mind is drawing a blank now!
Ashlyn..well, she's still our overactive little girl! She tries to get her little sister to do things that she herself does...not cool for an 18 month old. She's been practicing writing her letters and numbers and some words as well. She likes to make her own little shopping/grocery lists, which are cute and fun to read. :) She's also learning to add on paper and how to write + and - equations. Matt is enjoying spending the days with the girls; he says it's teaching him more patience. (While I've lost all mine! LOL!)
So all in all, everything is going well for all of us. The dog and cat are still here and are just the same, other than the cat likes to go outside now. Sometimes when Sierra leaves the back door open, we'll go out to find the cat in the sand or on the grass or laying by the door just relaxing! She's a goof. I'll dig out some pictures we've taken recently and post, and take some videos of Sierra and put on here also.
Enjoy your summer! School starts here on August 17th!
