Christmas 2010

Christmas-time has GOT to be the busiest time of the year for our family, which is wonderful!  The Lakeman's come down from Elko, NV to celebrate and spend time with us and Jared. (This year, Austin wasn't able to make it down due to work, dangit!) And this year was extra special, because quite a few of Matt's family was able to be here as well!
Let's start with Christmas Eve.
We went to Matt's parents' house right up the road to visit for a little bit before we headed to Jared's house.  The girls opened their presents from Nana & Papa: guitars and little tabletop art easels! Yay!!!
Afterwords, we headed up to Jared's house to open presents there and eat some yummy grub! While we were finishing up eating, Grammy and Grampa showed up! Yippee!! After dinner, we gathered around the tree and started opening presents. The girls got SKATES from Jared's family, and Victoria's brother's family got the girls a gift too: Ashlyn a Strawberry Shortcake RC car, and Sierra a Cinderella doll! LOVES! Sierra was a riot....anytime you handed her just the wrapped present she squealed and got SOOOO excited, just to HAVE a gift!!! She's so cute! Matt and I got massages at Massage Envy from Jared & Victoria--WAHOO!
We headed home around 1030 or so, and put the girls to bed so Santa could come to our house.
And apparently he did!
The girls were so excited, and had so much fun opening their presents from Santa, mom & dad, and Grammy & Grampa Lakeman! There were even scarves that Grammy brought down that Grandma Munro had crocheted for them---WAY too CUTE!
Even the dogs scored some treats from Santa! Chloe had to show Grammy her new chewy, and then when Grampa came out, she took it to show him too! It was the funniest thing!

That afternoon, we headed to Matt's parents' house for their annual Christmas dinner. Matt's dad, Ervin, was home on a 3-week leave from Ghana, Africa. Ervin's sister, Edna, recently moved to Apache Junction, AZ with her boyfriend. And Edna's daughter, Rachel, along with her husband and 3 boys flew in from Wyoming.  And Matt's grandparents drove down from Wyoming. So it was a great family gathering on Christmas!! I forgot my camera, so I didn't get any pics here...and my phone was D.E.D.  No Bueno! It was so great to see them, since the last time we did was when we went back to WY in 2008.

I have a TON of pictures, but I need to size them down and then I will be able to upload some of them.
