Hooray!
After about 3 weeks of wiggling and coaxing, Ashlyn lost her first tooth!
(We kept telling her that her bigger, permanent teeth were already in behind her baby teeth and they need to grow into place, or they'll be all crooked and she'll have to have braces.)

Matt's mom was over at our house for her birthday (December 14th), and while we were hanging out and chatting, Matt decided to try to pull on Ashlyn's tooth again....this time with a Kleenex. On the second try, out it came! (For those that know Ashlyn, she has NO pain tolerance and is totally FREAKED out by any amount of blood or the mention of it.)
She was crying at first, then calmed down, and then got all excited! She shouted, " MOMMY, CALL GRAMMY!!!" So, I handed her my phone and let her call and share all that excitement (on speakerphone hahaha!). She went RIGHT to bed that night, with her little tooth under her pillow, and a note she wrote to the Tooth Fairy that said her tooth was special to her and that she wanted to keep it. And when she awoke the next morning, she had a great surprise, and ran into our room and said, "That's weird....the Tooth Fairy left my tooth, took my note, and left me $5 and a new toothbrush!"
WOW!!!
When we lost a tooth, we got a quarter....and that was awesome!
I guess the Tooth Fairy realized how traumatic it was for Ashlyn to lose her first tooth, and spoiled her!
