The weather forecasted 8-12 inches of snow for our area of the mountains. We went to bed to it pouring rain for a few hours, but when we awoke, it was a white snowy morning. The schools were delayed 2 hours, so the girls enjoyed playing in the 5-6 inches that were in the yard. It snowed throughout the day and into the evening and left a total of probably 8 inches. Guess I should measure next time! Here's some pics of the day (Oct. 26th):
