Halloween Festivities

Ashlyn's school had a Halloween parade. Ashlyn borrowed a princess costume to wear. All the kids in the school went into the gym and then the music teacher put on some Halloween tunes and the kids walked around showing off their costumes. (Okay, so did the teachers.) It was cute, and I'm glad it was indoors!

 After the parade, we went back to Ashlyn's classroom where her teacher, Mrs. Sherve, had some treats and activities and a Charlie Brown movie to finish out the day.  The activity: each kid brought in a roll of TP. They partnered up, and one rolled the TP around the other, making them a cute little mummy. Ashlyn was the mummy. Her partner was Ycari (ee-car-ee) (not sure of the spelling). Sierra even got some treats from Mrs. Sherve, too, and she was SO surprised and happy :)

That was Friday, October 28th.

On Saturday, the school put on a Halloween Carnival with food, games, haunted house, face painting, crafts, massage, a silent auction, and more. The girls dressed up again, and we headed off to the school for some warm, cute fun. They had fun and came home with some candy.

On Halloween (Monday), mommy took the girls Trick-or-Treating up our street and down one other street. Not too much, but they got a lot of candy. (Some houses gave them a couple of handfuls of candy since they didn't have any other kids come.) The girls (and mommy) were FREEZING by the end of the street. But I'm sure they were happy they put on their coats, even though they were upset that "no one will be able to even see our costumes!".....oh the *joys* of living in COLD weather.   Matt wasn't able to come with us because the phones and email and everything went out in the whole mountain area, so there was no way to get ahold of him or him us.  :(

We did get some pics after Halloween, with the girls dressing up in different costumes, so I'll post those. 

Pretty princesses

I'm sure by the pictures that you can already tell what Sierra wore for Halloween.  :)  Ashlyn was a hip-hop girl.
